Find a Surgeon

There are many conditions that cause pain, stiffness, or audible clicks and pops in the knee.  Therefore, it is important that symptoms are diagnosed by a physician.  The physician will take a complete history and do various tests to determine the underlying reasons for causing the symptoms.  Some of these tests may involve manipulating the knee, taking x-rays, doing an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) evaluation, or performing an arthroscopic exam.  If the initial exam is done by a primary care physician, a referral may be given for an orthopedic surgeon for further testing or treatment.
